Portland/Vancouver Metro Programs

With exciting positions across the Portland/Vancouver Metro area, members gain valuable hands-on experience in the environmental field while living in one of the top ranked cities for environmental sustainability and green living. For over 16 years, we have served as a training and operational hub for our highly regarded AmeriCorps programs.

The Portland-metro program places AmeriCorps members with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and schools throughout the greater Portland-metro area, including Vancouver, WA. Positions are available with both our Individual Placement Program and our Field Team Program. The Individual Placement Program places individuals with both new and established community based non-profits, while the Field Team Program places leaders and members on restoration teams to perform a season of trail maintenance and restoration work. Current positions focus on environmental education, watershed and trail restoration, volunteer outreach and management, community stewardship and much more.

AmeriCorps volunteers receive an AmeriCorps education award in addition to a modest living stipend and health insurance.
